The National Competitiveness Council has published a Bulletin (16-3) entitled "Why Competitiveness Matters". The Bulletin outlines the essential link between policies which enhance national competitiveness, and the creation of sustainable employment in order to improve living standards. In particular, this Bulletin outlines the importance of ensuring that the foundations for sustainable competitiveness and growth are in place over the medium term. The Bulletin can be downloaded here.
